We’re here to capture the moments that are important to you. Our job is to give you beautiful images that will stand the test of time and become a part of your family history. Through our photography you'll be able to look back on your images and remember exactly what each moment felt like.
Capturing diverse couples of all skin tones in all their glory and beauty is truly an art form and this is something we take great pride in mastering.
We also believe in a traditional editing style. We edit this way so that your skin tones and the colors of the day are true to life. Classic and elegant photos are always in style.
Throughout history, photography has not been a huge part of the African American experience. We treasure the few photos that have been handed down to us that tell our families’ stories. But it’s not enough. This is something we’re passionate about changing. We believe that by being a part of the photography process, we are the historians of our time.
We have two lead photographers, Amber and Jay.
Jay and Amber have been colleagues in the wedding industry for years. They have partnered up bringing their combined 15 years of expertise under one studio to give you the best of both worlds. Both Amber and Jay have different styles when it comes to photography, so be sure to check out each of their portfolios to decide which style would best fit you and your partner.

Jay loves making his couples' stories come to life through images - making him the perfect addition to The Amber Studio. He makes it his job to get to know every one of his clients, to develop a strong relationship with them. This allows him to understand what is most important to you on your wedding day - the moments you want to remember for a lifetime.
