Renee & Henry's Dallas Arts District Engagement Session

You know how much we love color at The Amber Studio. So when Renee showed up to her engagement session with this formal royal this blue dress on, my eyes exploded! Renee & Henry are getting married this year and I can't wait for their big day and to work alongside their wedding planner Rae Lawson Events.

1. Tell us who you are, and what you're most looking forward to about being married to each other.

We are Renee and Henry and in 2020 we will be Mr. and Mrs. Henry Woods II. We are secondary educators and coaches in Dallas. We are looking forward to and definitely excited about having children and being parents. We parent hundreds of children each school year and can't wait to have our own to raise and love on.

2. When was the last time either of you had professional photos taken, and how did it feel having your engagement photos taken?

We had professional headshots taken for work two years ago. We also went on a few cruises that we have some pictures from formal nights and I did a small modeling gig in high school. Amber made us feel beyond comfortable. At one point we were so deep in our normal conversation, I forgot she was taking pictures.

3. What vision did you have for your engagement session? And how did you go about bringing it to life whether through your style, location or something else?

We wanted pictures that captured our everyday personalities. I'm a complete clown 85% percent of the time and Henry is goofy when he wants to be. We are always laughing (mostly me) and we wanted those candid pictures that we rarely get to see. We used our formal pictures and attire to set the tone for our engagement and wedding while our casual photos to represent our everyday life when we hit the town for dinner and a show.

4. Why were engagement photos important to you both, and what do you plan to do with them?

We wanted photos to be able to have in our home and to share with our friends and families. We plan on using them all throughout our wedding season.
