Joslynn & Terrell's Engagement Session at Arlington Hall in Dallas

Engagement photo sessions are my jam. And y'all, Joslynn & Terrell did not come to play! We started at Arlington Hall and Oak Lawn Park near the historic Turtle Creek in Dallas. And then ventured over to Dragon Park Gardens. The locations fit their theme perfectly!

We're so looking forward to their Spring wedding with Rae Lawson Events!

1. Tell us who you are, and what you're most looking forward to about being married to each other?

My name is Joslynn and I’m a Financial Analyst. My fiancé Terrell is an Advanced Surgical Sales Specialist. We are most excited about traveling the world together, starting a family and being able to provide a life for our children that neither of us could have ever imagined when we grew up.

2. When was the last time either of you had professional photos taken, and how did it feel having your engagement photos taken.

The last time that I’ve had professional pictures taken were for my college graduation. As for Terrell, the last time he had professional pictures taken were for his high school senior pictures! Amber helped us feel very comfortable in front of the lens. She was so easy-going and conversational, while snapping stunning pics the entire time!

3. What vision did you have for your engagement session? And how did you go about bringing it to life?

I really wanted our pictures to tell a story—essentially, I was going for Kingdom of Wakanda meets Romance Novel.

Our formal attire, in blue, along with the gardens that Amber suggested played a major part in our vision coming to life. Amber was very helpful with scouting locations and her eye for detail really was a game changer!

4. Why were engagement photos important to you both?

Our engagement photos were important because these are images that will last forever. Both of us can remember seeing pictures of our parents and grandparents when they were young and vibrant. We wanted to capture our essence and affection for each other so we can do the same with our kids and grandkids one day.
