Pauline & James' Dallas Engagement Session

It was such a joy to capture Pauline & James' engagement session this summer. They opted to have their session first thing in the morning to avoid that Texas summer heat! And yes, I'm working on being a morning person and will meet you at the crack of dawn to capture your engagement photos because who wants sweat dripping down their faces. We also didn't have to fight any crowds!

1. Tell us who you are, and what you're most looking forward to about being married to each other.

We are Pauline and James. We met each through work and we developed a strong and wonderful friendship that grew into this awesome loving relationship. We look forward to spending the rest of our lives together laughing, being dorky together, growing as a couple, traveling the world and being happy together.

2.When was the last time either of you had professional photos taken, and how did it feel having your engagement photos taken.

Our engagement session was the first time either one of us had professional photos taken. We both were nervous before the shoot began. However, Amber put us at ease with her relaxed and friendly demeanor. We enjoyed the questions that Amber gave us to ask each other. We laughed a lot and had so much fun.

3. What vision did you have for your engagement session? And how did you go about bringing it to life whether through your style, location or something else?

We did not really know what we wanted, but Amber suggested some locations and ideas that helped us.

4. Why were engagement photos important to you both, and what do you plan to do with them?

We wanted to get an idea of what our wedding photos would look like. As an interracial couple, we have had a difficult time finding photographers who are able to make both of us look great in photos. Amber was able to capture our true skin tones and make us both look amazing. We already have three photos printed on canvases which we will display on easels at the wedding. And we will hang them on display in our home after the wedding.

Locations: Oak Lawn Park & Trinity Groves
